The Colosseum Rome, Italy

BEST TIME

Apr 01 to Jun 30

The largest amphitheater in the WORLD (twice the length of an American football field) was build over 1,900 years ago. No wonder it's one of the 7 new wonders of the world. It used to be free to its visitors back in 100AD, now it's 16 Euros. This is quite a popular destination year-round, so maybe try to go early in the morning or near the closing hours.

Indy 500 Race Indiana, USA

ONLY TIME

May 26th

I found this post by some dude on reddit and think it sums up the event perfectly (I made a few edits for clarity): @cmd_iii "Wander the grounds, visit Gasoline Alley [the teams' workshop], music, parades. 200 laps, 220-plus mph. The margin between success and catastrophe is literally measured in inches. There is nothing like it anywhere on the planet."

The Galápagos Islands Ecuador

BEST TIME

May 01 to Jun 30

Sea turtles, Iguanas, Blue Footed Boobies, Sea Lions, Flamingos, Whales, Dolphins, Albatross, Sharks & more. I didn't catch them all when I went, but I crossed off at least 6 of those in a week. The Galapagos are a tremendous place for wildlife sightings, and island hopping too. Sadly lonesome George, the last living Pinta Island Tortoise passed in 2012, but you can pay your respects if you so wish.

Volcano Boarding Nicaragua

ACTIVITY JUNKIES

Nov 01 to May 31

This just looks so epic. You should watch this quick video (<2 min) of people going up & down the volcano, but don't pay attention to the trip 10 seconds in haha. I read that you can go down seated on a board or "surf" using something akin to a snowboard.

Milan Italy - Apr 01 to Jun 30 - Milan is the fashion center of Italy and home to the Duomo di Milano and the Last Supper painting. There's a lot to see and do and eat here, but if you want to avoid the crazy crowds of tourists, it's advisable to go from April to June when the weather is nice too. - Blog

Prague Czech Republic - Apr 01 to Jun 30 - A city made for architectural spectators, I have also heard that you HAVE to try the goulash in a bread bowl. The flowers are in full bloom in spring, as can be expected, and the weather is quite pleasant. - Video

Santorini Greece - May 01 to Jun 30 - Gorgeous white and blue architecture. Black, red, and white lava pebbles lining the beaches. This island is a spectacle through and through and has rightfully earned its worldwide fame. - Itinerary
